Born in St Petersburg, Russia, Savva is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music. He has successfully established himself as one of his generation’s most outstanding violinists. As a chamber musician Savva has collaborated with members of the Elias String Quartet, Aronowitz ensemble and Chilingirian String Quartet. Currently, he is a first violin player with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, having previously been with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Thomas Rann is an acclaimed Australian/British cellist who has appeared variously as a soloist with the Melbourne, Adelaide, and Queensland Symphony Orchestras, as well as Camerata Menuhin, performing at leading venues from Wigmore Hall to the Sydney Opera House, via the Moscow Conservatory, Tonhalle Zurich, and Westminster Abbey. A recipient of the prestigious Muriel Taylor Scholarship, his performances have been broadcast on ABC Classic FM, BBC Radio 3, and ABC’s 7:30 Report.
Pianist Sid Ramchander was born in India, but grew up in Bahrain where he learned to play the piano. He studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels with Aleksandar Madžar. As both soloist and accompanist, Sid has benefited from masterclasses with many world-renowned musicians including Julius Drake, James Baillieu and Steven Hough. He is a Junior Fellow in Accompaniment at the RNCM.
Savva Zverev’s nonchalant dispatch of a variety of works from Bach to Bartók and beyond was breathtaking. Sid Ramchander was his nimble-fingered piano partner - Martin Dreyer – Charles Hutch Press
